Dr. K receives 2016 Kinslow Engineering Research Award

Dr. Kalyanapu is recently awarded with the 2016 Kinslow Engineering Research Award by the Tennessee Technological University College of Engineering.

This award is given annually for the best-published paper written by a TTU engineering faculty member published in a referred professional journal during October 1, 2013 – Sept. 30, 2015. The award is given in honor of Professor Emeritus Ray Kinslow. He taught for 32 years at Tennessee Tech. During 25 of those years, he served as head of the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics. Professor Kinslow, an excellent educator and administrator, was a prolific researcher in the area of hypervelocity impact.

Nominees must be the principal author. The selection criteria include both research innovation and research applicability.

The winner receives an honorarium, a plaque, and their name listed on a permanent display.
