CEE 1020 students engage in floodplain modeling activity

Dr. K presented TechWARMS research in water resources engineering and modeling applications to the CEE 1020 Introduction to Civil Engineering, headed by Dr. Daniel Badoe, this tuesday. As a part of the class, students also engaged in a floodplain management modeling activity, where they evaluated the flood impacts due to impervious areas and also designed structural solutions (e.g., dams and flood walls) to reduce these impacts.
