As a part of CEE 4420/5420 Engineering Hydrology Course, four Civil & Environmental Students: Mitchell, Will, Austin and Daniel performed bathymetric survey of City Lake, in the city of Cookeville. They used a Sonar device from Dr. Thanos Papanicolaou's Hydraulics and Sedimentation Lab at UT-Knoxville. A YouTube video of their exercise can be seen below.

In early August of 2016, TechWARMS researchers teamed up with Dr. Greg Nail, UT Martin and conducted a Field Trip to collect river bathymetry data and streamflow measurement along several locations in the Obion River System.  TechWARMS was present at the 2015 AGU Fall Meeting in the beautiful San Francisco, CA.

 

We presented our research on our on-going projects including (i) development of multi-GPU Flood2D-GPU implementation and (ii) HEC-RAS vs. HEC-2D models in Obion River System in Western TN.

Graduate student researchers along with Dr. Kalyanapu attended the the 2015 EWRI Congress in Austin, TX, which occurred during May 17-21. 

Members including Ebrahim, Tigstu, and JJ presented their research, participated in various technical sessions and interacted with many researchers from across the nation and from around the world.
